I redrew the rose with circles.

I redrew this picture that I had drawn before. This time I had it stop at each point and draw a circle where before it just connected the dots. That give it a lot more definition. Check out the technical details page. I started adding some info there.

valentines day 2014 part two

I tried drawing it again while I was at work this morning. It takes about six hours or more to draw this one. It messed up in the middle. I might need to try it again. I was drawing it 20% bigger because it didn't quite fill up the board.

took 2 and 1/2 hours to draw. i increased the size by 80% and made each circle 18 steps across instead of 14.

I should have made the circles a little bit bigger, then it would have filled in the lines better.

I tried it with a different pen. It has a bullet tip instead of the chisel tip of the the other one. You can see it was also about out of ink by the time it got done. It is stickier than the other one so the circles it draws are smaller even though the doodler thinks they are the same size.
What should I try next?

I tried the rose again with a new pen.
I will try it next with more dots.

trying a new technique

I'm trying a new technique. I learned to use the empty program space as a flashdrive. This picture has 2500 precalculated points. It still needs work to make the picture more recognizable but I still have half the memory space left so I can do that.
